South Africa calls on the ICJ to take additional emergency measures against Israel, including an immediate halt of hostilities and refraining from any action, especially armed actions, which might prejudice the right of the Palestinians in Gaza to be protected from acts of genocide.
The measures also state that Israel shall immediately enable the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance to address starvation by suspending its military operation in Gaza, lifting its blockade of the strip, and rescinding measures that affect the access of Palestinians in Gaza to humanitarian aid.
