Pakistan air depends system

Swedish aircraft manufacturer SAAB delivered the last ERIEYE 2000 aircraft ordered by Pakistan on July 2, 2024 at Minhas Air Base in Kamra.

This early warning and control aircraft is equipped with the world's most advanced radar system that provides all movement awareness up to 450 km-

The addition of this aircraft to the fleet of the Pakistan Air Force brings the total number of such aircraft to 9 and all these aircraft are constantly engaged in patrolling the Pakistan-India border. Airborne Early Warning Squadron has been incorporated and will be used for guidance and support of fighter aircrafts based at Minhas Air Base Kamra.

Pakistan Air Force and Sweden's SAAB Company signed an agreement in 2006 for the purchase of six aircraft equipped with an early warning system, but due to Pakistan's economic difficulties, the order was reduced from six to four aircraft. But three more aircrafts were ordered in 2017 and 2020.
